Prosthodontics
Dr. Maria E. Marzois married and has three sons. Since she and her family moved to this region in 1996, they have been actively involved in the community through community service, sports, school and church activities.
Dr. Marzo is a 1989 graduate of Columbia University College of Dentistry. She completed her General Practice residency in 1990 at the New York Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Two years later, she completed her post-graduate training in Prosthodontics at the New York VA Medical Center/ NYU program. Prosthodontists are dental specialists trained in the restoration and replacement of missing, damaged or unattractive teeth.
Although Dr. Marzo has advanced training, she does not limit herself to a specialty. Her love for dentistry falls in the variety of services she can offer patients of all ages in a general family practice. Dr. Marzo recommends parents bring their children in at age 3 for their first dental cleaning. Starting out with good first experiences is key for children to have a positive outlook on going to the dentist as they get older.
As an expert in recreating nature’s balance, Dr. Marzo understands that missing teeth have an impact on a person’s quality of life. Teeth can be lost for a variety of reasons including decay, gum and bone disease, injury, medical problems, and even wear. Dr. Marzo can provide several treatment options. These range from simple fillings and single crowns, to implant restorations and different types of dentures: partials, full, implant overdentures and hybrid implant bridges.
